Secure

I would consider today to be one of the most challenging days we have experienced on the trip so far. From visiting a renowned museum to meeting civil rights activists to then walking across the Edmund Pettus Bridge. Today was jam packed with emotion. While we did much today, I would say the highlight occurred when we reached the end of the bridge and participated in a group discussion. Throughout the discussion individuals began to feel more secure about sharing their feelings and ideas regarding the past and present movement. I believe that this is essential as it is the only way in which we can truly progress, by listening and collaboration with each other.
