Today we went to a museum and walked over the Edmund Pettus Bridge and it really hit me. I don't think I really know more than my peers who aren't passionate about this. I can't ever really say I get it because I don't. Walking over the bridge wasn't the part that affected me, but the other side did. I think our reflection circle really helped me and I was brought to tears. I think the circle allowed me to open up and really dig deep. I thought about everything i'd learned and my environment, and reflected on how hurt I was by everything and the fact that people had to go through it. All I can say is i'm really happy I went on this trip.
