the first day

Today was a long, but exciting first day. We spent a lot of time on the bus, consuming far too much candy for our own good. Later, our tour of the International Civil Rights Center and Museum introduced me to a new way of approaching learning about the movement. It was a very confrontational experience. It seemed that their goal was to really make you feel as deeply as possible. I'm excited to see what is to come.
