Today was a good day for me . I enjoyed when we went to the Woolworth museum . At one point I wanted to cry when I saw the picture of Emmett Till because his face was really messed up & the fact that he was only 14 years old was surprising and made me angry because he didn't deserve to die over whistling / stuttering to a white lady . Another part of the museum I liked was the lunch counter. I found it amazing that the young men stood up for what they believed in and didn't care how hard it got. They were taunted by other white students while sitting at the counters but they never gave up! This also made me think about how grateful I am today to be able to sit at the same restaurant as whites and that I don't have to deal with waitresses not wanting to serve me.
