At some point everyone gets mad and furious about something, some people stay angry and live their lives angry but others do something with that anger. Today, I had the opportunity to see what it looked liked to do something with anger. I will be attending college this fall but it angers me that I still don't  feel safe on a PWI college campus and I know that this feeling will not go way under the Trump administration. At some point I will have to make my own decision to be angry enough to do something. Today made me feel safe knowing that when the time comes for me make the decision to be angry enough to put my life and everything I have on the line for freedom I won't be alone. But I will be apart of a large and courageous group of people that decided to do something with their anger.

Being black is a very interesting thing because when you learn about your history you find out that anger and joy aren't mutual exclusive. I'm angry that today we still face racism in our everyday lives but I'm joyous because I know it is my blood, DNA and history to fight for freedom and doing so would only mean that I am indeed falling in line with my ancestors. At some point action will be the only option and I take great pleasure in knowing that revolution and action is what my people do and I will not stand alone in this fight for justice.
