The tour guide said, "'colored citizens' were mentally conditioned to believe that they were lesser than white people." This concept really made me think about times when the media made me feel lesser as a black person, or a woman, or a a young black girl all at once. Although Jim Crow laws don't exist anymore, and segregation has ended, there is still hatred in this country, and we have to do work and advocate for each other.
